Sealed proposals for the McNamee Park Canoe and Boat Launch
Improvements will be received by the Village of Carpentersville, 1200 L.W. Besinger Dr., Carpentersville, IL 60110 until 10:00 A.M., local time, May 26, 2010, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposed improvements will consist of furnishing all material, labor and equipment for the completion of a concrete bat launch, concrete drive access, minor excavation, water diversion, soil erosion and sediment control, landscaping and all other ancillary work required to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and all other applicable standards.
Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the Village Engineer, 1200 L.W. Besinger Dr., Carpentersville, IL. 60110. Illinois Department of Transportation pre-qualification shall be required prior to obtaining a proposal booklet. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be required for each set of plans and specifications.
A Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal shall be submitted with each proposal as provided in Article 102.09 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction”, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Article 102.08 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction”, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
