Customer Service Clerk (Part-time)
The Village of Carpentersville has an immediate opening for a
part-time (approximately 20 to 30 hours per week) Customer Service Clerk
to join its Finance Department.
This position performs a variety
of functions relating to customer service and the processing of daily
cash receipts. Candidate must have some knowledge of the principles and
practices of bookkeeping, be able to perform arithmetic computations and
tabulations rapidly and accurately, and be able to provide outstanding
customer service and interact with a diverse group of people in
providing answers to questions regarding water billing, ticketing,
permitting and other Village information. Candidate should also possess
a strong ability to multitask. Some knowledge of the MUNIS accounting
system and basic MS Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel and
Word, is a plus.
Completion of approved college-level course
work in accounting, business, finance or a related field and fluency in
Spanish are highly desired. Candidate must have a high school diploma or
G.E.D. or have graduated from an approved vocational school,
supplemented by at least two years of responsible experience in the
areas described above.
Starting pay is $13.42 hour.
