Chief's Message
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Carpentersville
Fire Department web site. Thank you for taking the time to visit our web
page. I hope you find it both informative and interesting.
Established in 1915, the Carpentersville Fire Department has
developed from the small home town department lead by Fire Chief Dan S.
Davidson in which the residents heard the siren blow when someone was in
need of help to a state of the art department it is today. According to
the history of the department, 11 men have served as fire chief and
helped developed what today is one of the best fire departments in the
State of Illinois. I thank each of them for the foundation which they
helped lay. It is a distinct honor and privilege for me to continue in
the position of Fire Chief for you, the extraordinary employees of the
fire department and the citizens that we protect and provide fire and
emergency medical services to.
As we enter our 97th year of providing service to the community, we
face economic times that many of us have never experienced before. Let
me assure each of you that live in our community and those who visit,
the men of women that are employees of this fire department will
continue to provide the highest level of care, compassion, and service
to those who need it. Without the support of Village Manager Mark Rooney
and the Board of Trustees, the department would not be able to provide
the level of service it provides.
John Schuldt, Fire Chief
